Calling All Artists to Challenge Racism: 2018 Anti-Racism Arts Festival Winnipeg

In addition to the overall arts challenge, check out this awesome 48-hour anti-racism film challenge!The 48-hour Anti-Racism Film Challenge takes place during February and March of 2018 in Winnipeg. This is because February is Black History Month and in March takes place the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Teams and individuals who want to participate in the challenge will need to register for the film challenge. The 48-hour film challenge will take place on the weekend of February 16-18. Teams will be required to attend the online meetup on Friday, February 16 and be given a challenge they will have to incorporate into their films. Teams will have until 5:00 pm Sunday, February 18 to hand in their submission. Submissions will be 2-5 minutes long and must be related to the subject of racial discrimination. If the participant is under 18 years of age, they will need written permission from their parent or guardian to participate.Winners receive monetary prizes!This event is free of charge! The Anti-Racism Arts Festival Winnipeg closes with an Anti-Racism Red Carpet Showcase on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.The red carpet event showcases the art created during the festival, as well as screens all the films made during the challenge. An independent jury will select the film challenge's winners during the event! Participants must attend this event in order to win.
