International Overdose Awareness Day – held on August 31 every year – is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind.
Drug overdose deaths are on the rise in Manitoba, with the drug crisis hurting people across our community.
The theme for Overdose Awareness Day 2024 is “Together we can”, highlighting the power of our community when we all stand together.
Here are events we know of in Winnipeg this weekend where you can stand together with our community. If you know of more events, please share them to our calendar.
